19th Century French Antique Louis XVI Style Walnut 3-Door Armoire Here is a lovely patinaed and elegantly simple 3-door armoire made during the second half of the 19th century by the end of the reign of Napoleon III. This impressive piece is adorably embellished with graceful accents such as the pierced carved cartouche or the floral garlands highlighting the step-front center section and both side cabinets, all mounted with their original beveled mirror and revealing 3 storage compartments with single shelves and bottom drawers. Note the central compartment is featuring a wooden hanger rod. The pediment consists of 6 boldly sculpted tapered turned fluted legs that provide strong support. Once the side doors opened, all mirrors combine to let you see yourself from 3 different angles. Hardware is in original condition. Circa date 1870. 19th Century French Antique Napoleon III Period Center Table This is a very nice Center Table, commonly called Gueridon by the French, made by the middle part of the 19th century during the reign of Napoleon III from exquisitely patinaed sycamore; highlighted by a beautiful and original Gray St Ann Marble honoring the intricate shape of the serpentine belt. The belt is elegantly simple and slightly scrolled, it features a single drawer located on each side. The pediment consists of a boldly sculpted and turned shaft supported by 4 cabriole legs mounted on brass wheels and heavily accented with bear and leaves patterns indicating the provenance of this gueridon from the North East of France. Here is a very nice set of dining chairs made from solid oak at the beginning of the 20th century. Each with arched serpentine shaped seatback adorned with shell and acanthus patters, standing upon the large seat supported by the combination of a pair of straight back legs with a pair of boldly sculpted cabriole front legs on claw feet that bring stability and sturdiness. The pop-up seats are not original and estimated to be from the 1980’s, they are covered by greenish velvet, which must be replaced. Circa 1900.
