Please Take 50% Off The Featured Price. This is an interesting Armoire made from nicely patinaed oak by the end of the 19th century originally coming from Alsace by the German border. This kind of Armoire was mostly customer built by wealthy family and placed in the child room. The representation of the child can be seen on the fantastic pierced carved cartouche flanked by intricately sculpted foliate while the parents can be seen below above the pair of large paneled doors highlighted by half tapered columns flanking the piece. The interior compartment is spacious and deep, a straight bar can be seen to hold hangers, note that today, such piece can male a great entertainment center (a couple of additional shelves an be built if requested). Note a few minor scratches and dents can be seen due to the age. The upper cartouche can be removed. Circa date 1890. Dimensions 79"high/ 48"wide/ 24"deep. |
