This is an elegantly simple but appealing dining table made from solid and lovely patinaed walnut by the beginning of the 20th century consisting of a rectangular parquet top extendable thanks to a large pair of pull out leaves located at each end, all sitting upon a gadrooned straight belt accented with floral motif and supported by boldly sculpted turned columns typical of the renaissance style and directly inspired of the architecture from the Antiquity. Note the H-shaped stretcher that provides stability and sturdiness. Such table can be conveniently used as a desk or conference table. Minor scratches and dents can be see here and there due to the age. Circa date 1900. Dimensions 29 ½"high/ 54 ½"long/ 98"long with leaves out/ 39"deep. |
