This is a very decorative Armchair made from solid mahogany by the middle part of the 20th century consisting of a medallion shaped caned seatback centering a pierced carved acanthus rosette surrounded by original caning, standing upon the large wide caned seat, flanked by graceful armrests and supported by an intricately sculpted pediment providing stability and sturdiness. Note several chips and dens here and there due to the age. The cushion is provided but might need to be recovered. Circa date 1940. Dimensions: 39"high/ 16"seat height/ 27"wide/ 18"deep. |
