This is a elegant and very decorative late 19th century console made from solid mahogany and consisting of a Demi Lune (Half Moon) top highlighted with a small upper cartouche sitting upon a step-front belt accented with fluted pattern and a pierced carved ornamentation depicting acanthus leaves, all supported by tapered turned fluted legs. Note several minor scratches and dents here and there due to the age. Circa date 1890. Dimensions 34"high/ 38"wide/ 15"deep. |
