Here is a stunning and rare pair of Empire period corner cabinet made at the beginning of the 19th century boasting an exquisitely patinaed flame mahogany veneer, each highlighted with their original white carrara marble sitting on the quarter of moon façade featuring a single door and mounted with their original cast bronze accents. The interior compartment offers a single shelf. Note that hardware is in original condition, there is only a single key for both pieces. This pair is originally coming from Mirepoix in the south of France near Toulouse. A few minor scratches can be seen here and there due to the age. Circa date 1810. Dimensions 32"high/ 24"wide/ 17"deep. |
