This is a stunning commode made during the first half of the 19th century during the Louis Philippe period boasting a sumptuous flame walnut veneer. This elegantly simple piece is topped by its original white carrara marble, which has been repaired at some point, sitting upon the straight façade featuring a total of 4 drawers. The first drawer is actually revealing a writing area featuring black leather trimmed by gilt borders and 4 small drawers for additional storage. Some minor scratches and dents can be seen here and there due to the age. Hardware is in original condition. Circa date 1830. Dimensions 37"high/ 47"wide/ 22"deep.
