Here is a tall and fabulous Buffet 2 Corps handcrafted from oak during the second half of the 19th century. This impressive piece of furniture is originally coming from Lyon in the south of France as indicated by the Lion’s head centering the upper frieze. This stunning antique consists of a tall step-back upper section beautifully accented with foliate and acanthus patterns providing a pair of glass doors trimmed by gadrooned molding and featuring the original glass panes; it sits upon the matching buffet below providing a 2-drawer frieze above a pair of recessed paneled doors embellished with hunting trophies. This piece also offers a very large storage capacity. Note several minor scratches and dents here and there due to the age. Hardware is original. Circa date 1870. Dimensions 95"high/ 57"wide/ 24"deep.
