A very appealing simple and rustic bookcase made from solid pine by the end of the reign of Louis Philippe, featuring an upper part providing a pair of glass doors revealing a large display area with 4 non-adjustable shelves upon a bottom compartment; hidden by a pair of paneled recessed doors; offering additional storage. Please note that the left door features its original glass pane while the other one is estimated to be from the beginning of the 20th century. Hardware is original. Circa date 1840. Dimensions 79 ¼" high/ 57" wide/ 17" deep.
