Here is a rustic but appealing chest of drawers made from solid chestnut during the reign of Louis XVI by the end of the 18th century. This piece consists of a rectangular top sitting on a straight façade featuring a 2-drawer frieze upon 2 larger drawers mounted with wooden knobs, all standing on boldly sculpted fluted legs. Note several scratches and chips due to the age on the painting, which is not original and estimated from the beginning of the 20th century. Circa date 1780. Dimensions 32"high 43"wide 25"deep.
