A rare and splendid gilded nave combining lime tree, pine and stucco for an appealing result. This beginning of the 19th century piece is originally coming a small church in the Bordeaux area (South West of France, famous for the wine). Note the detailed artwork embellishing this splendid item from the stunning pierced arch accented with fleur de lys and angel’s faces to the intricate frieze depicting interlaced foliate and grape, all supported by 5 turns columns on a straight base. Several chips can be seen here and there due to the age. Circa date 1800. Dimensions 39"high/ 21 ½"wide/ 15" deep.
