A lovely and very decorative barometer made from solid walnut by the end of the 19th century mounted by a spindle gallery above the original mercury thermometer flanked by a double pair of tapered fluted columns and the bimetal barometer flanked by boldly sculpted pierced-craved acanthus leaves mounted by finials. Note that this barometer might need to get some restoration work to be in working order. Circa date 1890. Dimensions 30"high/ 15"wide/ 2"deep. |
