A rare and interesting planted handcrafted from solid oak by the second half of the 19th century and highlighted by an exquisite patina. The zinc compartment is surrounded by a pierced carved gallery and sits upon a nicely turned shaft standing on a rectangular base accented by pierced carved acanthus leaves. Circa date 1870. Dimensions 39"high/ 21"wide/ 11"deep.
