A splendid handcrafted armoire made from solid oak by the first half of the 17th century during the end of the reign of Louis XIII (1601-1643). This piece is currently a linen press, it boasts an elaborate embellishment from the bold flat cornice to the pair of triple paneled doors featuring diamond’s points ornamentation and the large frontal feet. An efficient storage compartment is provided with 2 non-adjustable shelves. The lock and the key are from the 18th Century. Note the stunning patina. Circa date 1640. Dimensions 81 ½"high/ 57"wide/ 25"deep.
