A charming pair of side chairs made from solid oak by the end of the 19th century. This adorable pair is originally from Brittany and featuring the classical spindle motif on the richly carved back seat, which stands upon the padded seat covered by colored needlepoint with floral patterns. The upholstery is not original and estimated to be 50 years old; it is in fair condition and would need to be replaced. The pediment consists of a pair of frontal baluster legs joined to the straight back legs by H-shaped stretcher. Circa date 1890. Dimensions 34"high/ 18"seat height/ 14"wide/ 15"deep.
