| This is an impressive Buffet 2 Corps made from selected oak by the end of the 19th century. This handsome piece of furniture consists of 3 parts sitting on the top of each other, the upper section is boasting a nicely scrolled crest centering a boldly carved heraldic shield flanked by Greek arches and mounted by finials upon 4 paneled recessed doors revealing 3 efficient storage compartments with adjustable shelves; each separated by nicely turned tapered columns adorned with acanthus rosettes, all supported by a pair of massive gadrooned columns and the triple paneled back panel standing upon the matching bottom section offering additional storages with a 3-drawer gadrooned frieze and a large compartment. Hardware is in original condition and has the mark "Markmann & Petersmann" from Dusseldorf. Circa date 1870. Dimensions 106"high/ 75"wide/ 30"deep. |
