| A stunning handcrafted Armoire made from solid walnut by the middle part of the 17th century under the reign of King Louis XIV just after the death of King Louis XIII. This interesting piece received some restoration work over the years like the back panel which is from the 19th century or the lock and key which are from the 18th century. This elegantly simple piece of furniture features a pair of large doors mounted with their original and intricately scrolled wrought iron latches (The look seems to have been added later on) divulging a large storage compartment with 2 shelves. Note the lovely patinaed faux-barley twisted columns flanking the façade. Circa date 1650. Dimensions 85"high/ 63"wide/ 21"deep. |
