This is a splendid Empire period gilded frame accented with floral and acanthus patterns and surrounding an exquisite hand-painted opaline depicting a mother and her child near a river. This piece comes from a personal collection and was restored at some point. The glass and the opaline are original. Circa date 1810. Dimensions 15"high/ 12"wide. |
