A splendid 3-door bookcase made from solid mahogany during the Napoleon III Period. This massive piece is lovely accented with the classical Louis XV embellishment such as Shell, acanthus leaves and foliate. Each door reveals large storage compartment with adjustable shelves. Note that the glass panels are not original and were replaced at some point. The pediment is nicely carved and scrolled pediment features 4 graceful carbriole legs and a pair of straight back legs. Circa date 1860. Dimensions 91 ½"high/ 80"wide/ 10"deep.
