A splendid walnut bed from the last quarter of the 19th century. This nicely patinaed item is mounted by an impressive pierced-carved cartouche depicting the classical acanthus motifs. The footboard is nicely embellished with shell and acanthus motifs and joined to the headboard by a pair of lovely embellished and scrolled side rails. Note the acanthus shaped legs that bring support to the piece. Circa date 1890. Dimensions Mattress: 52 ¾"high/ 73"long. |
