Pair of 19th Century Antique French Louis Philippe Period Prayer Chairs This is an adorable pair of Prayer Chairs made from a beautifully patinaed pine during the reign of King Louis Philippe. 19th Century French Antique Louis XIII Style Walnut Prayer Chair Here is an exquisitely patinaed Prayer Chair, commonly called Prie Dieu by the French, made from solid walnut by the end of the 19th century. This massive item features 3 storage compartments from the upper drawer and paneled recessed doors mounted with brass handles to the flip top kneeler below. Note minor scratches and dents here and there due to the age. Circa date 1880. Dimensions: 35 ½"(height) x 11 1/8"(seat height) x 24"(wide) x 16 ¾"(depth)
 

19th Century French Antique Louis XVI Style Prayer Chair A splendid and beautifully patinaed Prayer Chair made from solid beech by the end of the 19th century, intricately embellished with a central cross surrounded by interlaced acanthus and foliate patterns and providing its original upholstery which is indeed in used condition. The previous owner to protect the original upholstery added a recent one which you can see covering the upper section of the piece. The original fabric is a little bit torn here and there. 19th Century French Antique Napoleon III Period Easter Prayer Chair This is a very cute Prayer Chair made from solid beech wood by the end of the reign of Napoleon III. This adorable piece is representing the Easter Cross as its was depicted in Europe with the black Cross mounted with drape and the tools used to torture and kill Christ. Such representation is very common especially in France and Italy. Note that the fabric must be replaced and that a small part of the spear is missing. Circa date 1870. Dimensions 37"high/ 11"seat height/ 19"wide/ 17"deep.
