19th Century French Antique Napoleon III Gilded Crucifix This is a splendid gilded Crucifix made by the end of the reign of Napoleon III by the second half of the 19th century consisting of a serpentine shaped frame beautifully adorned with angels faces and interlaced floral and foliate patterns surrounding the spelter crucifix. Note the dark brown velvet, which is not original and added by the previous owner to replace the original one. Circa date 1870. Dimensions 29"high/ 16"wide.


 

19th Century French Antique Napoleon III Period Easter Cross A rare and beautifully carved handcrafted Easter cross made by the second half of the 19th century. Such crosses are commonly seen in France and Italy. Circa date 1870. Dimensions 27"high/ 10"wide/ 6"deep.
 

French Antique Mahogany Crucifix This is an adorable petite crucifix made from mahogany with Jesus made from metal with an ivory finish. Circa date 1900. Dimensions 7"high/ 3 ½"wide/ 2"deep.



 

19th Century French Antique Napoleon III Period Brass Crucifix Here is a very nice and interesting Crucifix made during the second half of the 19th century combining solid pine with brass for an appealing result. The Christ is made from silvered metal. Note the pierced acanthus patterns at each end of the cross typical fro the Napoleon III period. Circa date 1870. Dimensions: 15 ½"(height) x 10"(wide)

18th Century French Antique Regence Period Gilded Crucifix This is a rare and splendid gilded Crucifix made from lime tree during the Regence period by the first quarter of the 18th century. The Régence is the period in French history between 1715 and 1723, when King Louis XV was a minor and the land was governed by a Regent, Philippe d'Orléans, the nephew of Louis XIV of France. This stunning piece is consisting of an arched frame nicely embellished with acanthus and floral motifs and surrounding the central crucifix with raie de cour pattern. Christ is impressively hand sculpted from ivory. Note that the brown velvet is not original and was added at some point. Circa date 1720. Dimensions 19"high/ 12"wide/ 3"deep.
