19th Century French Oak Cabinet from Brittany
An impressively carved Cabinet originally from Brittany and made from selected oak by the end of the 19th Century. This handsome piece boasts a heavily embellished facade from the upper spindle gallery to the recessed paneled doors and bottom open compartment. The pair of upper doors is intricately sculpted and depicts local man and woman. It reveals an interior compartment with single shelf. Note the splendid patina that completes the look. 19th Century French Louis Philippe Period Pine Buffet
This is a simple but attractive buffet 2 corps made from solid pine during the reign of Louis Philippe by the first half of the 19th century. The upper part features a pair of glass doors with a large display area offering a pair of non-adjustable shelves, and sits upon the buffet featuring a 2-drawer frieze mounted by the original brass knobs and a pair of recessed paneled doors revealing additional storage. Note that the glass panels are not original and were replaced at some point. Circa date 1830. Dimensions 87"high/ 58"wide/ 20"deep.
