Both doors reveal a couple of storage compartments with a single shelf each. Locks, keys, handle and hinges are in original condition; note that the key for the drawer is missing and it cannot be locked (The screws holding the locks have been replaced at some point for sturdiness). The pediment consists of a pair straight back feet with a pair of frontal ball feet which have been added during the late part of the 19th century. This piece was purchased from a private collector and is originally from Perigord, a former province of France, currently corresponding to the Dordogne departement in the west part of the country.
