This is an adorable set of 4 Santons, typical from Aubagne (Provence in the south of France) wearing the traditional clothing. This set is combining clay with fabric and is boasting a lot of intricate details. The stamp of the company La Savonnerie, which also manufactures soap, can be seen at the back of the base. Note that the vase carried by one of the woman is damaged while the hat of the fisherman is worn. Circa date 1980. Dimension 13"high for the tallest santon.
