Set of 5 19th Century French Books This is a very decorative set of 5 red embossed leather books edited in M DCCC LXI (1861) and published by Furne in Paris, written by the W.Scott (Scottish historical novelist 1771 – 1832). This set includes 3 tomes of the History of Scottland and 2 tomes of Poems (Translated in French). Each with detailed engravings. This set is is used condition. Dimensions 9"high/ 6"wide.

19th Century French Missel “Bonheur A La Table” An adorable petite missel from the second part of the 19th century edited and approved in 1879 with burgundy embossed leather cover. Circa date 1879. Dimensions 4 ¾"high/ 3 ½"wide.


 

French Prayer Book Missel De Rouen A very nice Prayer Book entitled Missel De Rouen, printed in 1932 by the Mame Company boasting a handsome embossed leather cover. As usual the edges of the pages are gilded. This interesting book features several copies of pieces of art such as "La Nativite" or "L’Adoration des mages" by Bernardino Luini, "L’Annonciation" by Le Carrache and "Le Christ au Tombeau" by Simon Vouet. This item is in used condition. Dimensions 6"high/ 3 ½"wide/ 1"deep.  

19th Century French Prayer Book/ Missal “Serviteur de Marie” A lovely 19th century missal published in French and approved by the Archbishop of Mende. The intricately embossed leather cover is trimmed by gilded dots and features a detailed cross surrounded by acanthus leaves. The edge of each page is gilded. Detailed engravings can be seen. This missal is in used condition. Circa date 1863. Dimensions 6 ½"high/ 4 ¼"wide.
